Online: The Comic

Mai Yashiro (22) was an ordinary office worker until a video game console appeared in her mailbox. She is forced to play a dangerous game called "Nightmare," which endangers the lives of her loved ones and her own body. Refusing to play causes those dear to her to die. Losing battles results in parts of her body—such as her arms, legs, or voice—ceasing to function. The horror of this game spreads like wildfire through society, and to confront it, Mai's company establishes a "Nightmare" Strategy Team. After being assigned to this team, Mai and her dependable comrades boldly rise up against this hellish game.

Background

Online: The Comic is based on the novel series Online. The series has been simultaneously published in Japanese, Chinese and English on DeNA's app since August 29, 2014.
