Summary
Kaname Tousen served as the former Captain of the 9th Division within the Gotei 13. In this role, he acted as the chief editor for Seireitei Communication, the official journal of the Soul Society. His serialized column, titled "The Path of Justice," initially struggled to gain traction until he began incorporating cooking recipes, a change that significantly boosted its popularity among female Shinigami. This shift highlighted his culinary expertise, with his preferred dishes including chicken stewed with carrots and other complex meals, while he held a strong aversion to pickled foods. Tousen maintained distinct perspectives regarding his interactions with Arrancar. He viewed Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez similarly to Kenpachi Zaraki, regarding both as killing machines destined to perpetuate bloodshed in the world. Conversely, Wonderweiss Margera displayed a profound affection for Tousen. The Captain explained this bond by noting that they were both pure spirits, a nature that causes such entities to naturally attract and follow one another.
