Summary
Maou the Great Stygian of Abe is a demon and the final boss of the game Nagi plays in episode 10. She wears a talking skull named Gaikotsu on her head, which punishes her whenever she attempts to assist the protagonists. Chained to her chair, Maō resides in a fortress atop a tower and attempts to capture a hero from the outside world using a guillotine fishing rod to send them to the underworld. She ends her sentences with 'tima', a possible Ultima reference. The character is a parody of Mikuru Asahina from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, complete with her signature "Mikuru Beam" pose and maid outfit. She also appeared as a quiz game host in episode 50 and on the inner cover comic of Volume 13.
