Summary

Mayumi Kinniku, often called King Kinniku, appears in Yudetamago’s Kinnikuman and its sequel Ultimate Muscle. In the English dub of Ultimate Muscle, he is known as Mayumi Muscle and is not related to Harabote Muscle. Hailing from Planet Kinniku, he is a Seigi Chojin with a power level of 650,000. He holds the titles of former Chojin Olympic V2 Champion and Universal Grappling Champion. His signature moves include the Iron Claw and Kinniku Flash. He is the 57th King of Planet Kinniku and the father of Ataru and Suguru Kinniku, distinguished by the character 王 (Ou) on his forehead. Mayumi shares a fierce, long-standing rivalry with Harabote Muscle, leading to frequent exhibition matches that younger fans dislike. He is married to Sayuri Kinniku, whom he loves deeply despite her embarrassment over his behavior and his exclusive skill in cooking curry. Although he descends from the Royal Kinniku Family, he knows none of the 3 Great Secrets of the Kinniku Clan and never uses the Face Flash. His parenting style is flawed; strict training drove Ataru away, while he indulges Suguru yet frequently quarrels with him, even once abandoning him on Earth after mistaking him for a pig. Nevertheless, he loudly cheers for Suguru during battles. His name is derived from Akinobu Mayumi.
