Kinnikuman

In Kinnikuman, also known as Kinniku Suguru, the main character is a timid, clumsy, and not particularly bright superhero (called a Choujin) who is always craving gyuudon. He also happens to be the prince of an alien world. Though Suguru seems weak and lacks self-confidence, he has a deep sense of honor and can step up when the situation demands it. With his partner Meat-kun and other Choujins such as Terryman and Ramenman, Suguru strives to prove he is the greatest Choujin on Earth. Through his incredible willpower, endurance (known as The Burning Inner Strength), and the strength of friendship, he frequently beats enemies much stronger than himself and turns those former foes into allies. Even though he consistently appears foolish, Kinnikuman gradually gains recognition as a genuine hero. Note: The series had a 22-year pause between volumes 36 and 37. It resumed with volume 38 in its 2011 continuation.

Background
Kinnikuman won the 30th Shogakukan Manga Award for best children's manga in 1984. In Spain, it was published in Catalan as Musculman by Glénat from November 2006 to June 2008.
