Summary
Born and raised along the western borders of the Empire, Mine endured years of harsh ridicule and misery due to her mixed foreign heritage. She eventually joined the Revolutionary Army after learning it was forming alliances with Western nations. Motivated by the promise of a new country where diplomatic relations with the People of the West would improve, she fights to ensure her race is accepted and that their children will not suffer the same discrimination she endured. As a self-proclaimed "Genius Sniper," Mine is a sharp-tongued and quick-witted member of the assassin group Night Raid. Although she is often quick to anger and easily irritated by those she does not know well, she reveals a warm and kind side to those she has opened up to. Mine wields the Teigu known as Pumpkin, a rifle capable of firing highly concentrated piercing shots of spirit energy. The weapon operates in three modes: sniper, machine gun, and long barrel. Its energy output scales with the user's sense of danger, though continuous usage causes it to overheat. Mine can swap parts with her Teigu, including a component that allows her to slash with spirit energy and another that enables faster successive shots at the cost of reduced attack power. She also stores an eye piece inside the Teigu for scouting and long-range sniping. Additionally, she appears quite adept in hand-to-hand combat, having been seen sparring with Akame. Her primary weakness is leaving her back vulnerable to attacks.
