Summary
Leonof the Puppet-Master is an elderly figure who commands a vast array of puppets through a complex network of wires attached to tiny metal spheres. He possesses the ability to control numerous puppets simultaneously, allowing him to see through their eyes and speak through them. These puppets can be crafted to resemble humans or animals, and he employs them to inflict horrific suffering on those near Vash. The manga reveals that his true name is Emilio, and that he knew Vash during his childhood. Emilio was deeply in love with a girl named Isabelle, whose death drove him to become obsessed with puppet-making as a way to heal his broken spirit.
