Summary

Asahi Azumane is a third-year student in class 3 at Karasuno High, where he plays as the wing spiker wearing number 3. Born on January 1, he stands 184.7 cm tall and weighs 75.2 kg, with a fondness for tonkotsu ramen. Despite his imposing physical stature, he possesses a quiet and gentle demeanor, often struggling to accept his role as the team’s ace. Initially, he displays a lack of willpower, leaving the team before the first years arrive because he feels he failed his teammates after Karasuno lost to Date Tech High. Upon returning, he discovers that his passion for volleyball is far stronger than he believed. With support from his nakama, he begins to acknowledge his status as the ace, though he still faces teasing from Daichi regarding his lack of an imposing presence. Asahi has a "Heart of Glass," meaning he internalizes criticism and can become depressed when affected by negative comments. Although he remains somewhat insecure and timid, his character arc shows significant growth as he later declares his intention to defend his position as ace, proving his newfound self-confidence.
