Summary
Chigiri Shijima is a male Shinigami with gray hair and gray eyes who served as the inaugural captain of the 4th Division more than a thousand years ago. As one of the founding captains of the Gotei 13, he possessed immense spiritual energy, a power he displayed by effortlessly defeating and slaying numerous Quincy warriors during the first invasion of Soul Society. Renowned for his proficiency in Zanjutsu, Chigiri demonstrated his combat prowess against the Lichtreich by decapitating several soldiers using only his sealed Zanpakuto. Yhwach described him as infamous for being a brutal and cold-blooded killer, a reputation earned through his massacre of the Quincy forces from the Lichtreich upon their initial incursion into Soul Society. His Zanpakuto appears in its sealed form as a katana featuring a purple handle, a rectangular silver tsuba, and a purple scabbard. The names and abilities of his Shikai and Bankai remain unrevealed. Currently, no seiyuu have been assigned to voice this character.
