Summary

Prior to the series' beginning, Yuuno Scrya resided in Mid-childa, a distinct magical realm, where he worked as an archaeologist. Orphaned at a young age, he was raised by his entire tribe, the Scrya, from whom he derived his surname. During this period, he either acquired or crafted the intelligent device known as Raising Heart. Although his primary expertise lay in support magic, resulting in limited offensive capabilities, he never configured the device into a weapon. Yuuno’s initial appearance involves him fleeing a colossal monster in a forest while attempting to seal the Jewel Seed contained within using Raising Heart. His effort fails, allowing the creature to escape, and he collapses, severely injured. Utilizing his remaining energy, Yuuno transforms into a ferret to call out to the nearest magic user. His plea reaches Nanoha Takamachi in a dream, and she subsequently discovers the ferret in the woods, bringing it to a veterinary hospital. After quickly recovering, Yuuno forms a bond with Nanoha, recognizing her as a rare individual with innate magical aptitude on Earth. Later that night, he contacts Nanoha again, leading her to find him cornered by the same monster. Yuuno entrusts her with Raising Heart, and upon witnessing the raw power unleashed when she activates it, he deduces that she possesses the potential to create magical armor and transform the device into a custom weapon. Empowered by this capability, Nanoha begins her journey to seal away the Jewel Seeds.
