Summary

Ramenman is a Chinese Choujin from Henan, China, known for his expertise in Kung Fu and technical wrestling. He boasts knowledge of over 1,000 techniques and possesses a Choujin Kyodo power of 970,000. Physically, he differs from most of his peers by lacking a muscular physique; instead, he maintains an athletic, and initially bony and slender, build with prominent cheekbones. His appearance features an oval face, a Fu Manchu moustache, a queue hairstyle, and the kanji 中 (Chuu) on his forehead, representing the first character of 中国 (Chuugoku), the Japanese term for China. His trademark moves include the Camel Clutch, Leg Lariat, Kowloon Wall Drop, and Choujin 102 Attacks. He also formed the tag team 20 Million Powers alongside Buffaloman. Originally debuting in Manga Chapter 29 and Anime Episode 6, Ramenman began as the Most Zangyaku Choujin (Brutal Superman) during the 20th Choujin Olympics Arc, where he was known for killing opponents. Despite his brutality in the ring, he acted as a gentleman outside of it and disliked using weapons. As the series progressed, he transitioned to fighting as a Seigi Choujin (Justice Superman). He suffered a severe head injury that left him in a vegetative state, prompting him to adopt the alias Mongolman (モンゴルマン). To fight again, he wore a special mask crafted from healing tree bark. Notably, he is one of the few characters in Kinnikuman who never dies. His age is listed as 28 initially, 30 during the Golden Mask arc, 32 in the Throne arc, and 66 in the Nisei era, standing 208 cm tall and weighing 130 kg. Ramenman achieved immense popularity among readers, surpassing even the protagonist Kinnikuman in favor. He ranked third in both the Good and Evil categories of the first Character Poll before securing first place in the second. Creator Yudetamgo originally intended him to be a one-time villain for the Choujin Olympics, but his Third Place Determination Match against Terryman proved so popular that they kept him in the story. This success led to his own spin-off series, Tatakae!! Ramenman.
