Summary
Taruru, a blue Keronian tadpole, was once Tamama’s apprentice and continues to address him as "master" or "senpai," indicating a superior status. Although he was originally clumsier than Tamama, his symbol is an orange and yellow raindrop-shaped emblem, which signifies an "old driver" in Japan. Taruru matured rapidly in appearance; by volume 10 and episode 101, he had developed adult features rather than retaining his tadpole form. He initially appeared to investigate the truth behind the rumors surrounding the Keroro Platoon, sharing the information Tamama had provided. In the anime, he is also seen occasionally with his childhood friend Karara, forming a pair of mischievous tadpoles. Despite his earlier clumsiness, Taruru became highly skilled during his training with the Garuru Platoon, surpassing Tamama’s abilities and defeating him in a face-off. He subsequently captured Momoka and Paul, and later took Mois into custody as well. However, after Keroro motivated his platoon to overcome their defeat, Tamama returned for a rematch after gaining power from the Super Rhinocerous Beetle, ultimately defeating Taruru.
