Duke serves as Chocolat’s magical familiar, appearing as a frog with distinctive red and black stripes. Although his duty is to assist her in gathering as many hearts as possible, he is rarely seen putting in the effort, preferring instead to laze around on her bed or sleep. Rather than offering helpful guidance, he tends to deliver discouraging remarks, often finishing his sentences with the suffix '-kero,' a verbal tic comparable to 'ribbit' in English. He has a contentious relationship with Blanca, frequently engaging in arguments with her and referring to her as a rat.
