Summary
Yuushun Tei serves as the former Advisor of the Governors of Sa Province and the Prime Minister of Saiunkoku. A mild-mannered man in his late thirties who relies on a cane, he possesses a gentle exterior that masks his reputation as a dangerous and incredibly powerful figure. He is a highly effective politician capable of accurately assessing current situations and wielding persuasive debate skills so formidable that the Merchant's Guild hesitated to negotiate with him. Originally appearing as an assistant official to Shuurei and Eigetsu in Sa Province, Ryuki promotes Yushun to Prime Minister, bestowing upon him a feathered fan as a symbol of his office. His political maneuvers provoke enough unrest among the noble families to potentially threaten his life; consequently, despite his insistence that he does not require protection, Seiran is assigned as his personal guard. Anju Ryou notes that Yuushun hails from a noble family whose power surpasses that of both the Ran and Kou Clans.
