Xin serves as one of the central figures in Kingdom, having been raised as a slave alongside his best friend and fellow orphan, Hyō, in a small village. Despite their low social standing, the pair shared an ambitious dream of rising above their circumstances to become the world’s greatest generals. Very little is revealed about Xin’s family background or early history. Although he possesses a fiery temper, Xin has a fundamentally kind heart and demonstrates fierce loyalty to his companions. He swears to fully avenge Hyō, even if it costs him his life. His volatile nature frequently leads to bickering with Ten, causing their interactions to resemble that of squabbling siblings. Xin’s combat prowess is exceptional, honed through rigorous training with Hyō that involved practicing swordsmanship over a thousand times. He combines this skill with monstrous physical strength and remarkable agility. During his battle with Jo Kan, Xin displayed an impressive capacity for rapid adaptation, allowing him to gain the upper hand in combat. Driven by the goal of becoming the world’s greatest general so that his name may echo even in the heavens, Xin carries forward the shared dream he once had with Hyō, now determined to fulfill it for both of them.
