Hyou, Shusui
Summary
Shusui serves as Shuurei’s primary lady-in-waiting while Shuurei is an imperial concubine. Ryūki claims her beauty rivals only that of Kochou, a renowned courtesan in the Red Light District. She has a fondness for the scent of sandalwood and once treasured a sandalwood fan before gifting it to Shuuei. Although Shouka does not reciprocate her affection, Shusui remains deeply attached to him and is the sole person to praise his tea. Her embroidery skills are poor enough that Ryuuki enjoys teasing her, particularly when Shōka mistook her attempt at a sunflower pattern for a lion. While she presents a kind and caring demeanor to Shuurei and Ryuuki, Ryuuren remains suspicious of her quick movements when handling Kourin’s clumsiness.
