Summary
Hinoto serves as a yumemi, or dreamseer, working for the Japanese government and living in the basement of the Diet Building. Though she is blind, deaf, mute, and physically disabled, she communicates telepathically and has an impeccable record of prophetic dreams. She envisions the conflict between the Dragons of Heaven and Earth alongside the arrival of Kamui, yet she cannot predict his allegiance. While she foresees a defeat for the Dragons of Heaven, she hides this outcome from them. Later, her dark half possesses her, triggering a catastrophic battle within her consciousness that unfolds in the dreamscape and creates significant complications for the Ten no Ryū.
