Summary
Kokonoe Yakumo is a renowned practitioner of Ninjutsu who serves as the master of the protagonist, Shiba Tatsuya, passing down traditional shinobi knowledge. Described by Tatsuya as a wannabe monk despite meeting the qualifications, Yakumo is a self-proclaimed shinobi and a master of Ancient Magic. He leads a group known as the Temple, composed of Warrior Monks and Practitioners of Austerities. A former member of the JSDF, he is also a celebrated martial artist within fighting circles and regarded as a leading authority on Ancient Magic. His students include Shiba Tatsuya, Ono Haruka, and Kazama Harunobu, while Shiba Miyuki has also received some training from him. Due to his expertise, he maintains a close relationship with the Fujibayashi family, another lineage of Ancient Magic users. First Lieutenant Fujibayashi Kyouko knows him well and may have trained under him as well.
