Summary

Wolfman is a Japanese Sumo Choujin who once held the prestigious title of Choujin Sumo Yokozuna before transitioning to Choujin Wrestling. Hailing from Aomori, Japan, this Seigi Choujin is characterized by his vigorous training regimen and his boastful "Beautiful Muscles of Steel," which are said to even surpass those of Kinnikuman. Initially, he harbored a deep disdain for Kinnikuman, mocking him as Zeinikuman, but after suffering a defeat in a Sumo match, he began to respect his opponent's abilities. Consequently, Wolfman emerged as an Idol Choujin, dedicating himself to battling the Akuma Choujin. Throughout the series, Wolfman frequently serves as cannon fodder for the Seigi Choujin, facing plain opponents in one-sided fights to demonstrate the power of the villains. He dies and resurrects three times, notably during the 21st Choujin Olympics final preliminary and his bout against Springman. Despite this recurring role, his mastery of Japan's national sport has earned him a significant fanbase. He was modeled after the real-life rikishi Chiyonofuji Mitsugu, with his nickname derived from Chiyonofuji's own moniker. In the anime adaptation, his identity shifts significantly. Renamed Rikishiman with the real name Rikio, he adopts typical Sumo catchphrases such as Dosuko~i! and Gottan desu!, presenting a more conventional Sumo wrestler persona. His trainer is Coyoteman in the manga and Kasugano in the anime. His trademark techniques include Gasshou Hineri, Nekodamashi, and the Rubik's Cube Twist. He was also part of the tag team Most Dangerous Combo alongside Brocken Jr. His power level is listed at 800,000, rising to 980,000 in the anime. Wolfman first appears in Manga Chapter 90 and Anime Episode 27.
