Summary
Washizu, Iwao is a wealthy elder who ranks among the most influential figures in the criminal underworld. Having accumulated vast fortunes through illicit activities during Japan's post-war period, he now uses his wealth to entice others, particularly the youth, into high-stakes gambles where they risk their lives for the opportunity to win substantial sums. Taking pleasure in these dangerous games, he arranged a match against Akagi. The two engaged in a unique variant known as "Washizu Mahjong," which utilizes glass tiles instead of standard ones, fundamentally altering the dynamics of the game.
