Summary
Sakuta Azusagawa serves as the central male protagonist in the Seishun Buta Yarou series. Enrolled as a second-year student at Minegahara High School, the 16- or 17-year-old shares many personality traits with Mai, including quick wit, a sarcastic edge, and a deeply kind, helpful nature driven by a strong moral compass. Despite appearing socially isolated and calm following his experiences with Adolescence Syndrome, he possesses a consistent deadpan demeanor, often voicing his unfiltered thoughts with an eerie calmness regardless of his internal emotional state. Although he claims indifference toward social acceptance or the opinions of his classmates, Sakuta admits that rumors about him can be painful. Nevertheless, he remains unhesitant in defying social norms, asserting that he does not mind if the world hates him as long as someone needs him. He is also known for displaying a perverted side, frequently making blunt and straightforward lewd remarks to the girls he interacts with, though these comments are generally intended as jokes rather than malicious intent.
