Summary
Asguiaro Ebern is a male Arrancar who serves as a member of the Vandenreich. He possesses a tall, slender build and features short, light-colored hair swept back into peaks on either side of his head. A long, white mask fragment with multiple holes rests on the left side of his forehead, and his right eyebrow points unusually upward. His attire consists of white trousers and trench boots, covered by a long, white, double-breasted trench coat with shoulder straps. The coat is cinched at the waist with a black belt featuring a decorative buckle. During the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, Ebern appears suddenly in Ichigo Kurosaki’s bedroom while Ichigo is asking about Ryūnosuke Yuki. Ignoring the question, Ebern introduces himself by his full name and asks if there are further inquiries. When Ichigo orders him off the bed, Ebern refuses and is subsequently kicked out of the window. While holding his head and questioning why he was struck, Ebern denies being an Arrancar and attempts to pose as a Quincy, forming a large weapon to demonstrate his powers. Taunting Ichigo during their fight, he becomes elated when Ichigo activates his Bankai, believing it to be the end of the Substitute Shinigami. Ebern uses a special technique with an incantation to wound Ichigo’s arm, but Ichigo breaks free and fires a Getsuga Tenshō at the stunned Ebern. After the smoke clears, a heavily wounded Ebern furiously wonders why his opponent’s Bankai did not vanish. He is then surprised by Ichigo, who points a blade at the side of his face and states he is taking Ebern for questioning. Ebern escapes using a shadow, informing Ichigo that such shadows only hide the "chosen ones."
