Summary
Bodoro is Examinee #191 during the Hunter Exam and an expert martial artist. He is a strict and seemingly stubborn old man who harbors an unspoken rivalry with another martial artist participating in the exam, though this conflict is set aside during the dire circumstances of Rippo's "bonus stage" after the Trick Tower, a dynamic that exists only in the original anime. During the interview for the final stage, Netero finds that Bodoro’s personal code of honor prevents him from fighting Gon and Killua, whom he views as children, regardless of their combat prowess. In his first battle of the fifth stage, he faces Hisoka and is unable to land a scratch, despite his lifetime record of never having a man withstand a single hit from him. After Hisoka whispers something in his ear, Bodoro admits defeat, leading to his next fight against Leorio.
