Ndongo, Bonolenov

Summary

Designated as member number 13, Bonolenov presents a striking appearance reminiscent of a mummy, clad in tattered rags and bandages that conceal a body riddled with numerous holes. While his role remained minor during the York Shin arc, he actively participated in the Genei Ryoudan’s battle against the Chimera Ants during the subsequent arc, displaying a mocking and self-assured demeanor in combat. Little is known about his personal motivations for joining the group, but his origins trace back to the Gyudondondo tribe, a unique group distinct from the usual Ryuuseigai population. His tribe’s tradition involves piercing the bodies of three-year-old boys with needles, which are gradually replaced by larger needles and eventually sticks to create permanent holes in the skin. This practice earns them the title of "dancing warriors," likely due to the distinct sounds produced by air moving through these perforations. Bonolenov’s attire serves to wrap and cover the extensive network of holes created by this ritual.
