Summary

As the original Grand Pope of Sanctuary, Shion stands as one of the few remaining survivors from the Holy War that took place in the 1800s. He is also a member of the rare race that once inhabited the lost continent of Lemuria, which is alternatively known as Mu. This unique heritage grants him a lifespan far exceeding that of an ordinary human, enabling him to live for over two centuries. Shion shares a deep friendship with Libra Dohko, who is the only other saint to survive from their final generation. Additionally, he served as the mentor to Aries Mu, eventually passing the Gold Cloth of Aries to his student.
