Summary
Representing the Kingdom of Norway, this enigmatic Nordic character is distinguished by his pale blonde hair and a perpetually floating ahoge accompanied by a small dot, a whimsical design choice by creator Hidekaz Himaruya. He has dull, soulless dark blue eyes similar to Japan’s and typically wears a Nordic Cross barrette on the left side of his head. Despite being a recluse who speaks little and appears emotionless, he is surprisingly snarky according to Iceland’s pet puffin, Mr. Puffin. He is shy around strangers and possesses the ability to see and interact with supernatural entities like fairies and trolls, a trait he shares with England. He also speaks in a Tsugaru dialect. Norway is the older brother of Iceland, a relationship confirmed by a DNA test, yet Iceland refuses to address him as Onii-chan. His self-proclaimed best friend is Denmark, whom he has known since childhood. Norway often picks on Denmark, who is too dense to realize that Norway does not consider them particularly close. While his official human name remains undecided, Himaruya has suggested several possibilities including Bjørn, Børre, Kjetil, Knut, Lukas, and Sigurd, potentially paired with surnames Bondevik or Thomassen.
