Summary
Yuzuru Nishimiya is the younger sister of the protagonist and a middle school student. She keeps her hair short to prevent their mother from cutting Nishimiya’s, a style choice that often leads to her being mistaken for a boy, including by Ishida, who initially believed she was Nishimiya’s boyfriend. Yuzuru is fiercely protective of her sister and harbors intense resentment toward those who bullied her, particularly Ishida. However, upon realizing Ishida has reformed, she softens her attitude, accepts him, and even encourages him to date Nishimiya, though she grows frustrated by their hesitation to act on their feelings and their inability to move beyond friendship. She frequently skips school to photograph dead animals and insects, a hobby that creates tension with her mother.
