Hinata, Fuyuki

Summary

Fuyuki, the twelve-to-fourteen-year-old son of Aki Hinata and grandson of Hinata Akina, is a human male with blue hair and violet eyes. He is the younger brother of Natsumi Hinata and a loyal member of the Keroro Platoon, despite his status as an Earthling. His first appearances occurred in episode one of the anime and chapter one of the manga, with his voice provided by Tomoko Kawakami. Fuyuki is defined by a gentle, kind heart and an excessive capacity for forgiveness, traits that contrast sharply with his athletic, outgoing, and quick-tempered sister Natsumi. While Natsumi’s name means "summer beauty" and is symbolized by red, Fuyuki’s name translates to "winter tree" and is associated with blue. He is calm, reserved, and generally avoids physical education and fighting, though he can unleash terrifying, bottled anger when pushed too far. An obsessed expert in the paranormal and science fiction, he frequently encounters bizarre creatures, often in epic fashion, whenever an episode focuses on him. He shares a unique, affectionate bond with Keroro, whom he calls "gunso" or "sergeant." Although aware that Keroro is an invader, Fuyuki often intervenes in the alien’s schemes, famously asking, "Aren't we friends?!" to guilt him into stopping. He specifically prevents Keroro from destroying Earth to protect the Gundam model factories, which are crucial to Keroro’s hobbies. Fuyuki also guards the Kero-ball, a dangerous Keronian weapon he occasionally uses as a toy. Fuyuki maintains a forgiving relationship with Alisa Southerncross, who uses him as bait to attract aliens or "cursed ones." He understands her actions are driven by her father’s belief that hunting aliens will help her gain humanity, a perspective that endears her to him despite the danger. His classmate, Momoka Nishizawa, harbors an amorous crush on him and devises various comedic plots to gain his attention. Fuyuki addresses her formally as "Nishizawa-san," reflecting his lack of romantic interest due to her high social status, yet he values her as a close friend and would never abandon her. Angol Mois respects him, and Mutsumi Saburo is held in high regard by Fuyuki. Despite his usual patience, Fuyuki possesses a formidable temper that can terrify Keroro, the platoon, his sister, and ordinary people alike.
