Summary
Asirpa serves as the deuteragonist of the Golden Kamuy series, portrayed as a young Ainu huntress. Her involvement in the story begins after she saves Sugimoto’s life and subsequently learns about the existence of hidden gold, prompting the two to embark on a quest to find the treasure together. Personality-wise, Asirpa is an independent and capable young woman. While she initially presents herself as cold and withdrawn, this demeanor shifts significantly once she becomes comfortable with others, revealing a more jovial and childish side. She is particularly playful and cheerful around her friends and family, displaying enthusiasm for hunting and a fondness for cooking. She also enjoys teasing her companions, with Sugimoto and Shiraishi being frequent targets of her playful mockery. As a hunter, Asirpa possesses a deep awareness of nature’s cruelty, understanding that weakness in the wilderness leads to death. This knowledge makes her highly pragmatic regarding survival. However, her primary motivation is to protect the Ainu people and preserve their independence. Following her journey to Karafuto and the various revelations she encountered, she resolved to secure the gold to ensure that the Ainu and their culture would never be erased or forgotten.
