Synopsis
In Hokkaido, rumors spread about a hidden cache of gold taken from the Ainu people and concealed by a murderer before his imprisonment. Prior to his capture, he etched a map onto the bodies of fellow inmates, promising them a share of the treasure if they escaped and located it. First Lieutenant Tokushirou Tsurumi seeks to give the 7th Division an edge in the race for the tattoos by having a taxidermist produce counterfeit skins that only he can identify. Meanwhile, Saichi Sugimoto, Asirpa, and their group persist in their quest for the real skins, driven by a strange rumor: a thief in Yubari discovered taxidermied human remains, including a torso marked with unusual tattoos.
