Morgif, Mullem Desoive Eligh

Morgif, Mullem Desoive Eligh

Summary

Morgif, also known as Mullem Desoive Eligh, is a Demon sword that can only be wielded by the Maoh. Yuri embarks on a quest to locate the blade and, once found, reluctantly carries it on most of his adventures. Originally, the sword featured a jewel on its "forehead" that served as the source of its power. This jewel fell out when Cheri-sama dropped Morgif, after which Yuri gave it to Yozak, instructing him to do whatever he wished with it. The jewel is not recovered until much later, when Morgif must battle a powerful Holy Sword. Despite this, Morgif is not helpless without the jewel; the extent of his powers without the source remains a mystery, while his capabilities with it are said to be limitless. As the sword of the Maoh, Morgif possesses a personality akin to a cheerfully lecherous old man, reflecting the unique nature of the Maoh’s possessions. Murata, who was the Great Sage (Daikenja) in his past life, noted that Morgif has changed significantly over time. He recalled that Morgif once possessed a young and handsome face along with a soothing counter-tenor voice. When the "Stone of the Dragon King," a jewel belonging to the royal family, went missing, Yuri used Morgif to help locate it, reasoning that the sword had seen the thief. However, it turned out that Cheri had taken the jewel to use as a centerpiece for her necklace, leaving an IOU in the treasure room. Erhard Wincott, the ancestor of Susannah Julia von Wincott, was an inventor who conducted numerous tests, including one involving Morgif and its history. Morgif was created from powerful lava flowing from a specific volcano on Bandadine Island. If thrown back into lava, the sword reverts to its original form: a heavily decorated black blade. Yuri utilizes this original form of Morgif to defeat the Soushu / Originators.
