Summary

Raivis Galante, known as Latvia, represents the Latvijas Republika, with Riga serving as its capital. Born on November 18th, the national day, his emblem is the Oxeye Daisy. In his human form, he appears as a fifteen-year-old boy standing 140cm tall, characterized by curly pale blonde hair and violet eyes, although the anime adaptation altered his hair to dark blonde and his eyes to light blue. As the youngest of the Baltic brothers, Latvia’s life has been fraught with hardship, marked by a history of moving between the households of Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and finally Russia. Although he eventually separated from Russia, he remains deeply reliant on him and has not fully severed their ties. Russia frequently bullies Latvia, often pressing a hand down on his head, a gesture Latvia claims has stunted his growth by ten centimeters. Despite his difficult past, Latvia possesses a big heart and a tolerant nature. He is generally quiet, shy, and withdrawn, with a tendency to cry easily. His hobbies include reading romance novels and poetry, as well as drinking alcohol. Contrary to his small stature, he boasts an impressive capacity, claiming he can consume forty cups of alcohol in one sitting. He often speaks with unintentional bluntness, which frequently causes trouble, particularly with Russia. Latvia also has a habit of being dragged into situations against his will. He shares a good friendship with Sealand, bonding over their similar physical ages and the fact that both are small nations often overlooked by others.
