Summary
Septieme Rodelia is the youngest of seven siblings vying for the throne of Rodelia. Each sibling resides separately within the royal palace, constantly plotting to expose the weaknesses of their brothers and sisters in a bid to succeed their father. Assassination attempts are common, and the siblings maintain a daily tradition of gathering for dinner with their food tasters, where they continue their games of guile and intimidation. Septieme is an old friend of the Malvin family and visited the kingdom on a state visit. Martis was assigned the unfortunate duty of escorting the princess through Central, including the city’s most depraved district.
