Summary

Nachiguron is a Kaijuu hailing from Monster Island, standing up to 60 meters tall and weighing 50,000 tons. He makes his first appearance in Manga Chapter 12 and Anime Episode 14. Although his Choujin Kyoudo is listed at 20,000 Power, he is characterized as a timid Kaijuu who is terrified of humans. When Kinnikuman is sent to battle him, he recognizes Nachiguron’s harmless nature and releases him. The Kaijuu subsequently shrinks to approximately 1 meter in height and moves into Beverly Park with Kinnikuman and Meat. Meat initially resists the arrangement, feeling she already has her hands full with Kinnikuman, but agrees on the condition that Nachiguron takes care of himself. She provides him with a special whistle for emergencies and sends him to run grocery errands. Later, Nachiguron encounters the Kaijuu Yakuza, who pressure him for supporting Kinnikuman. Although he nearly uses the whistle, he resolves to handle the situation independently. He occasionally reappears to cheer for Kinnikuman or act as a referee, though he disappears after the Choujin Olympics in the manga. In the anime adaptation, he debuts during the Choujin Olympics as a cowardly subordinate of Zangyaku-seijin before switching sides to support Kinnikuman. He then becomes one of Kinnikuman’s sidekicks, frequently accompanying Meat in subsequent episodes. Visually, Nachiguron is bald upon his first appearance, but gains shaggy blonde hair in the following chapter, which remains his style for the rest of the series. Beyond his cowardice, he is noted for being an extremely loud snorer. His name is derived from Nachiguro, a type of candy. He does not appear in the Kinnikuman Nisei anime.
