Ichijou, Masaki
Summary
Known by the epithet Crimson Prince, Ichijou Masaki is a seventeen-year-old student at Third High School and the heir to the Ichijou family, one of the prestigious Ten Master Clans. He first appears in the third volume of the light novel series as a lead representative for his school in the Newcomers' Division of the Nine Schools Competition. During this event, he develops a rivalry with Tatsuya, who serves as a technician, even before they meet in person, while simultaneously harboring romantic feelings for Tatsuya’s sister, Miyuki. Physically, Masaki is strikingly handsome, standing approximately 180 cm tall with broad shoulders, a compact waist, and slender legs. His appearance aligns with the archaic ideal of a young, handsome warrior. While his looks make him popular among female students, he rarely shows interest in the opposite sex. However, he becomes visibly anxious and uneasy when interacting with Shiba Miyuki. Despite his comfort in high social circles, he is consistently rattled by her flawless etiquette and beauty. In combat, Masaki exhibits a strong fighting spirit, particularly toward his rival Tatsuya. He remains calm and analytical, even when facing unexpected situations. As a member of the Ten Master Clans, he feels a deep sense of responsibility to offer his power to the Magic Association whenever necessary.
