Summary
Mikado Sanzen'in serves as the patriarch of the Sanzen'in family and is the grandfather of Nagi. He resides in a sprawling mansion, significantly larger than Nagi’s estate, which is staffed by numerous servants who all share an identical appearance. While the source of the Sanzen'in family's vast wealth remains a mystery, Nagi refers to her grandfather as an oil tycoon. Mikado possesses the unique ability to assess a person's character merely by looking at them. Despite being Nagi's only direct relative, the two share a strained relationship; Nagi dreads visiting the main house, leading to Mikado's absence after his initial appearance. However, he clearly cares for her, as evidenced by his efforts to thwart assassination and kidnapping attempts. He later tasks Hayate with the responsibility of making Nagi cry and beg for forgiveness to inherit the Sanzen'in fortune, a goal he eventually modifies with Maria's assistance, instructing Hayate to remove the butler first.
