Summary

Jiang Lihua, the young empress of the Chinese Federation, is traditionally known by the title Tianzi, or "the Child of Heaven." Her physical stature has evolved over the series' design history, standing at 138 cm (4'8") in the initial 2008 designs and growing to 152 cm (5'0") in the updated character models from 2011 onward. In reality, her role is largely ceremonial, serving as a symbol of the state and the unity of its people while functioning as a living divinity. Actual political power rests with the High Ministry, a governmental organization that controls the nation. She makes her debut in season two, where she engages in negotiations with Kaguya Sumeragi prior to Kaguya's return to Area 11.
