Summary

The nation known as Eesti Vabariik, with Tallinn as its capital and Estonian as its language, observes its birthday on February 24th and claims the Blue Cornflower as its national flower. In human form, he goes by Eduard von Bock. While his age is listed as seventeen and his height remains unknown, he presents himself as the second oldest and second youngest among the Baltic brothers. Regarded as the wisest and the ace student of the group, he sports dark blonde hair and greenish-blue eyes, though early artwork depicted his eyes as brown and the anime adaptation rendered them dark blue. He maintains a long-standing friendship with Finland, frequently visiting his dear friend to participate in strange Finnish festivals, an activity he seems to enjoy excessively. The two have known each other for a long time and are always willing to help one another out. Historically, he served as an underling of Russia and was likely the least tormented by him compared to his siblings. Although all three Baltics eventually broke away from Russian control, Estonia is noted as the only one in the present day who does not rely on Russia too much. His personality is mild, well-mannered, and poised, and he is financially secure. However, he is somewhat self-centered, which results in not very many people giving him much recognition. Estonia is on friendly terms with most of the other countries of the world and is quite skilled with technology. Over the years, he has managed to avoid problems and war situations using his mind, wit, and cleverness alone, ensuring that Estonia’s beautiful cities and countryside remain preserved and untouched by other nations. Hidekaz Himaruya once hinted that Estonia's character design is based off of his own appearance, and that, probably due to this, he considers Estonia to be the coolest character in Hetalia.
