Summary
Akira Tachibana is a striking seventeen-year-old high school sophomore at Kazamizawa High School, known for her strange and reserved demeanor. Her difficulty in expressing emotions often leads those around her to misunderstand her intentions. Previously the standout athlete in the school’s women’s track and field club, a severe foot injury sustained during a race forced her to retire from the sport. She harbors a vague sense of regret and bitterness regarding her departure, prompting her to consciously avoid anything related to track and field, including contact with her former teammates. Following her exit from the club, Akira took a part-time job as a waitress at a family restaurant named Café Restaurant Garden. It was there that she encountered Masami Kondou, the forty-five-year-old divorced manager of the establishment. When he noticed her downcast mood and attempted to speak with her, their conversation became a pivotal turning point in her life, helping her regain hope. From that moment forward, Akira began to fall in love with him.
