As the landlady of Narutaki Sou and a high school classmate of Tamami, Kozue exhibits a complex condition where her personality shifts in response to various emotions, though she reverts to her baseline self after sleeping or losing consciousness. These alternate personas are visually distinct, each featuring unique eye colors and hairstyles that incorporate the bells she uses to tie her hair. Her primary identity is characterized by a bluish-green eye color and an exceptionally kind demeanor, with a fondness for umeboshi shared across all her variations. Ryūshi, her second cousin, becomes her romantic partner starting in chapter 39 of the manga.
