Summary

Yuu Nishinoya is a second-year student in Class 3 at Karasuno High, wearing jersey number 4 as the team’s libero. Born on October 10, 1995, he previously attended Chidoriyama Junior High. Standing at approximately 159.3 cm in April 2012 and growing to 160.5 cm by November of that year, Yuu weighs 51.1 kg and has a particular fondness for Gari Gari-kun popsicles. Externally, Yuu is a highly energetic and temperamental individual whose boisterous nature and crazy shenanigans often draw unwanted attention with negative consequences. He is extremely impatient, excitable, and impulsive, rarely considering the repercussions of his actions. As noted by Ryuunosuke Tanaka, he simply gets too fired up for his own good. Yuu does not filter his words, leading him to blurt out his thoughts in a loud and tactless manner, and he may even resort to violence to vent his anger. Despite this, he is surprisingly considerate of his friends' feelings and insecurities. However, his demeanor shifts drastically during matches. On the court, Yuu becomes incredibly focused and serious, maintaining a calm composure while doing everything in his power to support his team until the end. This unwavering dedication and reliability have earned him the deep respect of everyone in the volleyball club.
