Summary

Kanon Maldini serves as a political and military adviser under the command of Schneizel el Britannia. During the celebrations for Tianzi's marriage to Prince Odysseus, he humorously remarks to Milly Ashford that he acts as Schneizel's assistant in both official and personal capacities, though he quickly dismisses the comment. Later, Kanon tracks Suzaku to the Kururugi Temple with the objective of investigating and capturing Zero. His mission yields definitive proof of the masked terrorist's true identity as well as the existence of Geass. This critical intelligence plays a pivotal role in persuading the leaders of the Black Knights to turn against Zero. When Schneizel ultimately chooses to execute a coup d'état, Kanon acknowledges that his master has finally reached a decision, yet he appears visibly uneasy about the impending action.
