Summary
Cecilie’s older brother, Stoffel von Spitzberg served as the former regent of the Maoh realm before being exiled from the castle upon Yuri’s arrival due to his attempts to forcefully assert dominance over the kingdom. Distrusted by his own nephews, who blame him for instigating the previous war against humans, he sought to reclaim his authority by kidnapping Yuri and attempting to convince him that the three princes were merely manipulating him to seize control of Shin Makoku. This scheme nearly triggered a civil war when the nephews launched a rescue mission, though Yuri ultimately escaped with Yosak’s assistance, averting the conflict. As punishment for his role in the war, the Maoh sentenced him to house arrest within his own castle and lands. Stoffel later attempted to restore Yuri’s trust by hosting a celebration for the prince’s visit, but the plan failed when Cecilie arrived instead. By the series' conclusion, he abandoned his power struggles to become a loyal noble ready to defend the Maoh against Soushu’s armies. His favorite food is sautéd Neguroki no Mayakishi.
