Summary
The Fox is a recurring presence at Tatsuhime Shrine, lingering in the hope that worshippers will visit and make offerings after their wishes, inscribed on ema prayer tablets, are granted. Its narrative arc begins on August 6, when it encounters Nanako during a rainy day. Sensing the animal’s plight, Nanako lends it her Loveline umbrella for protection before departing. The Fox keeps the umbrella with it until the wind eventually sweeps it away and destroys it. Determined to repay Nanako’s kindness, the Fox approaches Yu on August 7 and presents him with an ema quest to assist Shu Nakajima. This act initiates a series of ema quests spanning several weeks, involving other characters such as Hisano Kuroda. By the end of the episode, the Fox collects all the yen Yu helped bring to the shrine. During the credits, it uses these funds to purchase a new Loveline umbrella, which it gifts to Nanako.
