Summary
Soshi Okita is a male character who appears in episodes 916-917 and 919. In the Yaiba arc, he participates in the Oda Nobunaga tournament with a very laid-back attitude. He made a promise to his grandfather that he could quit practicing kendo if he won the competition, as he disliked the martial art for finding it too easy. In the fourth round, he encounters Yaiba, who trips over him while Okita is sleeping in the grass. Although Okita proves to be the superior fighter, Yaiba’s refusal to give up and the use of his death termination force Okita to forfeit the match. Consequently, Okita decides to resume his kendo training. In Detective Conan, Okita bears a striking resemblance to both Shinichi and Heiji. He is the grandson of the historical figure Okita Soji. The character Soshi Okita III previously appeared in episode 71 of the anime Lupin III: Part II, which served as an inspiration for Detective Conan.
