Summary
Seria Kumokawa is a third-year student at the same school as Kamijou Touma, serving as his senpai and widely recognized as a genius. She currently works as an adviser to Kaizumi Tsugutoshi, a member of the twelve directors comprising the Board of Directors of Academy City. Her expertise on the Science side is extensive, encompassing knowledge of Deep Blood, Imagine Breaker, and the Level 6 Shift project. While she harbors a strong personal interest in Touma and his ability, this curiosity is not romantic in nature. In Volume SS2, Seria proposed a strategic solution to prevent governments and external agencies from seizing natural-born espers, referred to as 'gemstones,' to establish rival research facilities. She noted that the likelihood of these outsiders successfully developing a method without destroying the subjects like laboratory animals was effectively zero. To protect these individuals from Academy City’s control, she suggested utilizing the SISTER clones undergoing adjustments globally to gather and safeguard approximately fifty gemstones. It is implied that she struck a deal with Heaven Canceller to enable the mobilization of these clones. Additionally, she is briefly mentioned in Volume 19, where GROUP considered recruiting her as an ally on the Board of Directors to oppose the Director targeting them. However, they dismissed this option, reasoning that Seria would not be easily deceived and might dissuade Kaizumi from assisting them.
