Summary
Akari Fujisaki is Hikaru’s childhood friend who picks up the game of Go after noticing his growing interest. Although she is a relatively weak player, she joins the Go club at Haze Middle School and serves as the vice captain of the girls' team. She harbors romantic feelings for Hikaru, a fact pointed out by her two friends during a carnival scene, yet their relationship remains firmly platonic throughout the series. Her birthday falls on May 17th.
