Hikaru no Go
ヒカルの碁
Young Hikaru Shindou stumbles upon an old go board in his grandfather's attic, and through it, the spirit of Fujiwara no Sai, a legendary go master from the Heian era, is summoned. Though Hikaru has no interest in board games at first, Sai pushes him to learn the intricacies of go and execute strategic moves under his guidance. Despite his initial reluctance, Hikaru starts to develop a fondness for the game as he gets more involved. Guided by Sai's spectral knowledge and fueled by the competitive drive from his rival Akira Touya, Hikaru delves deeper into the challenging world of go. Over time, his growing passion and skill in the game lead him to seek recognition through his own abilities.
