Summary

Natsumi Hinata is a 13-to-16-year-old human female with brown eyes and red hair, born on December 2nd. As the daughter of Hinata Aki and granddaughter of Akina Hinata, she is the older sister to Hinata Fuyuki and maintains close friendships with Giroro and Koyuki Azumaya. She also holds a friendly rivalry with Keroro, harbors a crush on Mutsumi Saburo, and is adored by Giroro. Voiced by Chiwa Saitō, she made her debut in both the anime’s first episode and the manga’s first chapter. Although she holds no official rank, she effectively commands the Keroro Platoon, to which she is loyal. Described as extremely athletic, smart, and cute, Natsumi possesses a short temper that earned her the nickname 'Devil Summer' in elementary school, a title she shed as she matured in middle school. While she can be scary and violent when enraged, she is also sweet, brave, and deeply caring toward her human family and her surrogate alien family. She enjoys video games and can be sarcastic or careless when relaxing. Despite her popularity at school due to her strength, she harbors insecurities, particularly regarding Saburo, and displays a girly-girl side. She also exhibits a city-girl personality, evidenced by her distress during a power surge in downtown Tokyo. At school, she is friends with Yayori and Satsuki, but shares a special bond with Koyuki, whom she introduces to the city side of Tokyo. Her relationship with Keroro is fraught with rivalry, leading her to frequently call him 'boke kaeru'. She only addressed him by name when he won a swimming contest fairly or when trying to dissuade him from joining the Garuru Platoon. Ironically, she was the first to discover Keroro hiding in Fuyuki’s bedroom wall, which led to Fuyuki’s awakening. Initially suspicious of the alien squad, except for Mois, she grew accustomed to them, treating Keroro like a friend or slave and assigning him household chores. She later developed feelings for Giroro. Natsumi utilizes a neck brace invented by Kururu that transforms her into a real-life Gundam for battle. Her favorite food is baked sweet potatoes, while she has a weakness for creepy-crawly creatures, especially slugs. Her name translates to '723' and 'summer beauty', and she has 'summer' written on her bedroom door. She is also a member of the kaito team 'MorePeachSummerSnow'.
