Summary
Kumi is the younger sister of Ryo Mashiba, described as sweet-natured yet hard-working and willful. Because of their close bond, she understands him better than anyone else. She is deeply devoted to her brother, willing to do almost anything to support him and bring him happiness, a dedication that includes attending his matches despite her discomfort at seeing him get injured. Ippo finds himself infatuated with her early in the story.
